Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the G8DA engine according to the catalog is 140 kg. The engine number G8DA is located in two places. The early batches of engines suffered from camshaft wear and chain stretching. This diesel engine quickly becomes coked up, so try to change the oil as often as possible. The accelerated coking is caused by burnt-out sealing washers under the injectors. The filter in the oil supply pipe often gets clogged, which leads to turbine failure. Coolant leaks often occur, and the hydraulic tappets of the engine have a low lifespan.
