Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the JXFA engine according to the catalog is 225 kg. The engine number JXFA is located at the junction of the block with the gearbox. The main problems of the engine are related to the contamination of the Common Rail fuel system. Due to impurities in the diesel fuel, the TNVD shaft wears out and then the shavings clog the injectors. With mileage over 150,000 km, the timing chain mechanism often requires attention. The upper connecting rod caps break after 200,000 km and noises appear under the hood. As for auxiliary equipment, the generator and vacuum pump usually fail.
