Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the BHDA engine according to the catalog is 180 kg. The BHDA engine number is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. This diesel engine is sensitive to fuel quality, but when the fuel is of good quality, it runs without problems. Poor-quality diesel quickly affects the condition of the injectors and the fuel injection pump. Sudden loss of power may occur due to a clogged fuel filter. The junction between the upper and lower parts of the cylinder block is often a source of leaks. After covering a distance of 150-200 thousand km, the turbocharger becomes a very expensive risk factor.
