Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the C9DA engine according to the catalog is 180 kg. The C9DA engine number is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. This diesel engine is superior to its predecessors and, with good quality fuel, runs for a long time. Poor quality diesel fuel quickly affects the performance of the injection pump and injectors. The reason for sudden power loss is usually due to severe clogging of the fuel filter. Leaks of lubrication often occur at the junction of the upper and lower parts of the cylinder block. If the engine's operation is unstable, it is worth inspecting the intercooler air duct bellows.
