Engine Overview and Common Failures

The KNWA engine weighs 215 kg according to the catalog. The KNWA engine number is located at the junction of the block and the oil pan. The advanced fuel system with piezo injectors does not tolerate bad fuel. Regular filter replacements are needed, otherwise the Common Rail system will quickly fail. Special equipment is required for drilling or replacing the injectors. Naturally, there are problems with the turbine, EGR valve, and diesel particulate filter. But the main challenge is finding a service that will even attempt to repair this diesel engine.
