Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the QXWA engine according to the catalog is 170 kg. The QXWA engine number is located at the junction of the block and the oil pan. On engines from the early years of production, the chain between the camshafts often stretches. The fuel system with piezoelectric injectors is very sensitive to the quality of fuel. Hydraulic lifters do not tolerate cheap oil and can start ticking before reaching 100,000 km. Due to engine vibrations, the wiring often wears out and the ECU starts throwing errors. As always, owners are faced with a bunch of problems with the diesel particulate filter and the EGR valve.
