The main problems of the engine are related to the temperamental Common Rail Delphi system. Any impurities in the fuel lead to wear of the pump shaft and clogging of the injectors. The weak point of the cylinder-piston group is the upper connecting rod head. The timing chain mechanism may need to be replaced as early as 150-200 thousand kilometers mileage. The auxiliary equipment, especially the generator, is not reliable.
