Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the EGN engine assembly is 180 kg. The EGN engine number is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. This unit is known for frequent overheating and sludging of the oil channels. Lack of lubrication contributes to rapid wear of the bearings, leading to engine seizure. In addition, there are regular fluctuations in RPM due to throttle and EGR valve contamination. Coolant leaks often occur from the pump gasket or heater pipe. The exhaust valves become covered in deposits and over time can no longer close tightly.
