Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the ECC engine assembly is 150 kg. The ECC engine number is located on the cylinder block. The main problem with this engine series is overheating with a blown head gasket, so watch out for coolant leaks. The hoses and thermostat often crack here too. Also, don't forget about the timing belt's lifespan of 100,000 km; if a valve breaks, it causes damage. When using 92 octane gasoline, the fuel filter and injectors quickly get clogged. On high mileage, oil consumption and oil leaks from the seals are not uncommon.
