Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the EDT engine assembly is 160 kg. The EDT engine number is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. Keep an eye on the cooling system as overheating can quickly lead to cylinder head damage. Coolant leaks through cracks in the hoses and thermostat are also common. The timing belt has a lifespan of approximately 100,000 km, and if it breaks, the valves will always be affected. Fuel injectors do not tolerate poor-quality gasoline and require regular cleaning. After a mileage of over 150,000 km, this power unit often consumes oil.
