Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the KKDA engine according to the catalog is 190 kg. The KKDA engine number is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. The most problematic part for you will be the demanding CR fuel system from Delphi. Violating the filter replacement interval results in expensive repairs. Repairing the fuel equipment involves dismantling the high-pressure fuel pump, injectors, and even the tank. After 100,000 km, injector leakage often occurs, leading to piston burnout. It is not uncommon to replace the crankshaft pulley damper and the camshaft position sensor here.
