Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the F3P engine according to the catalog is 132 kg. The engine number F3P is located at the junction of the block with the gearbox. Unstable operation of the engine is almost always associated with ignition system malfunctions. And it doesn't matter if you have a distributor or individual coils, both options are problematic. Minor issues can actually have several causes: throttle valve clogged with dirt, burnt lambda sensor, or faulty coolant temperature sensor. Leaks most often occur around the mileage of 200,000 kilometers, with oil and coolant leaks being common. As they say, as soon as you get rid of one leak, another one immediately arises. Power loss, to the point where the car simply stalls, is usually caused by a clogged fuel filter or injectors, less frequently by a malfunctioning fuel pump.
