Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the H5Ht engine according to the catalog is 105 kg. The engine number for the H5Ht can be found at the front where it meets the gearbox. The only mass problem of this turbocharged engine is fluctuating revs. Like all fuel-injected engines, it suffers from carbon buildup on the intake valves. However, if the problem is not severe, it can be easily cleaned with special products. Most car owners with this engine do not complain about oil consumption, but there are some cases where it does happen. It is important to understand that this engine has an aluminum block with an open cooling jacket, which leads to piston wear and increased clearance over time. Other possible issues include complaints about loss of power due to a detached turbine hose, rapid wear of spark plugs and ignition coils, as well as failure of the adsorber valve.
