Engine Overview and Common Failures

Due to the relative novelty of this engine, there is little information available about its malfunctions. The engine is highly sensitive to fuel quality, and it is not yet supplied to us. It is unknown how the variable geometry turbine will behave on a gasoline engine. A common issue with the 1.5 TSI is the so-called Kangaroo effect, which manifests as a jerk when releasing the clutch in first gear.
