Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the 3C-E engine according to the catalog is 170 kg. The engine number 3C-E is located at the junction of the block and the cylinder head. The main problem of the diesel engine is frequent cracking of the cylinder head due to overheating. Additionally, the aluminum head of this unit suffers from valve seat destruction. The air filter hoses quickly crack, causing dust to fly directly into the cylinders. The timing belt has a low lifespan, and when it breaks, the valves are usually bent. Denso's electronically controlled fuel injection pump can be repaired in limited places.
