Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the 2C engine according to the catalog is 165 kg. The engine number 2C is located at the joint of the block and the cylinder head. The most well-known problem of this diesel engine is the cracking of the cylinder head due to overheating. The second most common issue is the valve seat destruction and the ingress of debris into the cylinders. Abrasive particles often penetrate into the combustion chambers and through cracks in the air ducts. That's why these engines often suffer from wear of the cylinder-piston group. The timing belt doesn't last long, and in case of breakage, it bends the valves and causes damage to the camshaft.
