Engine Overview and Common Failures

The main culprit of power failures is the contamination of the turbine valve or EGR. Due to a cracked cooling manifold, coolant leaks occur regularly here. The lower flange of the VKG pipe often breaks and the engine oil pan gets covered in lubricant. The breaking of the auxiliary belt poses a great danger as it can get into the timing mechanism. On a mileage of over 200 thousand kilometers, valve seats often burn out and compression drops.
