Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the 2C-T engine according to the catalog is 178 kg. The engine number 2C-T is located at the junction of the block and the cylinder head. The cylinder head of this engine has a low lifespan and often cracks due to overheating. Another problem with the cylinder head of these diesel engines is the cracking of valve seats. Due to the loss of air ducts' tightness, a lot of dust enters the combustion chamber. This abrasive then contributes to rapid wear of the cylinder-piston group. The turbocharger and timing belt also do not last long, and when the belt breaks, it usually bends the valves.
