Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the 2C-E engine according to the catalog is 167 kg. The engine number 2C-E is located at the junction of the block with the cylinder head. On forums, these diesel engines are criticized for regularly cracking the cylinder head due to overheating. Valve seats in them also often get damaged and their fragments end up in the cylinders. Abrasive material frequently penetrates into the combustion chambers and through cracks in the air ducts. The timing belt has a relatively low lifespan, and when it breaks, the valves usually bend. Additionally, there is a rare electronically controlled Denso fuel injection pump installed here.
