Engine Overview and Common Failures

Most often, forums discuss issues with the fuel system: the high-pressure fuel pump and injectors. The aluminum cylinder head is sensitive to overheating, so make sure to keep an eye on the cooling system. Owners also frequently complain about a noisy vacuum pump or failures in the EGR valve. At every 100,000 km, you can expect an expensive procedure of replacing belts and pulleys. Once the mileage exceeds 200-250 thousand km, the turbocharger often starts to consume oil.
