The most well-known problem of this engine is the short lifespan of the turbines. The gear mechanism of the timing belt also has a relatively low durability. The cylinder wall coating does not tolerate fuel economy and often flakes off. By 150,000 km, there are often leaks around the seals of the pump-injectors and the tandem pump.
