Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the 2C-TE engine according to the catalog is 180 kg. The engine number 2C-TE is located at the junction of the block and cylinder head. The main complaints about such diesel engines are related to cracks in the cylinder head due to overheating. The second most common breakdown of the engine is valve seat cracking. Air duct pipes often crack, allowing dust to enter the combustion chamber. The electronically controlled Denso fuel injection pump is reliable, but there are problems with servicing. The turbine has a low lifespan, and if the timing belt breaks, it can cause valve damage.
