Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the 2L-T engine according to the catalog is 250 kg. The engine number 2L-T is located at the junction of the block and the cylinder head. The main problem with these diesel engines is cracking of the cylinder head due to overheating. The turbocharger and water pump also have a low lifespan in these engines. Another significant drawback of these engines is constant lubrication leaks. If the timing belt breaks, not only the valves are affected, but the camshaft also breaks. The valves require periodic adjustment as there are no hydraulic lifters here.
