Engine Overview and Common Failures

This diesel engine possesses a powerful character, operates loudly, and dislikes cold weather. Due to overheating, the cylinder head quickly cracks, but small cracks do not affect performance. The high-pressure fuel pump often leaks through the gaskets, so keep an eye on it. The timing belt has a recommended lifespan of 60,000 km, but if a valve breaks, it can cause damage. On long distances, such power units tend to consume excessive oil and experience lubrication leaks.
