Engine Overview and Common Failures

This is a simple and reliable atmospheric diesel engine, and all its problems are due to old age. The most common problem is leaks in the fuel injection pump due to worn gaskets. Keep an eye on the timing belt as its breakage can always cause valve damage. Engines with high mileage often experience oil consumption. In case of regular overheating, the cylinder head may crack, which can be difficult to replace.
