Engine Overview and Common Failures

The engine number B3154T is located at the junction of the block and gearbox. The engine was only installed in European versions of the XC40 and there is limited data on breakdowns. Currently, the majority of complaints on foreign forums are related to lubricant consumption. It is also recommended to clean the fuel injectors every 60,000 km to prevent malfunctions. The timing belt should be replaced every 120,000 km, but it is important to remember that the valves are prone to bending. Additionally, leaks from seals or under the valve cover are occasionally found.
