Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the F10D engine assembly is 92 kg. The engine number F10D is located at the junction of the block and the oil pan. The unit was developed and produced in India, but there are problems with service and spare parts. The engine does not tolerate poor fuel, which quickly leads to spark plug damage and injector clogging. The dual output ignition coils are also not known for their reliability and are quite expensive. The fluctuating idle speed is caused by throttle body contamination. There are no hydraulic compensators, so valve clearances need to be adjusted every 60,000 km.
