Engine Overview and Common Failures

The assembled weight of the F10A engine is 90 kg. The F10A engine number is located at the junction of the block and the oil pan. This engine was widely used in Asia, but there are concerns regarding service and spare parts availability. The carbureted versions are quite sensitive to fuel quality and require tuning. Oil leaks and ignition system failures are also frequently discussed on forums. The recommended timing belt replacement interval is 90,000 km, but if the valve is bent, it may break. There are no hydraulic lifters, and valve clearance adjustment should be done every 60,000 km.
