Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the J20B engine assembly is 125 kg. The engine number J20B is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. The most well-known problem of this engine is oil consumption due to ring deposits. There have been cases where the drop in lubrication level caused bearing rotation. The timing chain does not have a very high lifespan, sometimes even less than 150,000 km. Owners also complain about leaks from under the valve cover and around the pressure sensor. There are no hydraulic lifters, and it is advisable to adjust the valve clearances every 90,000 km.
