Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the EJD engine assembly is 130 kg. The EJD engine number is located on the cylinder block. The fuel pump is considered a weak point of the engine, and it is often replaced before reaching 100,000 km. The injectors and pressure regulator in the fuel rail quickly get clogged due to poor fuel quality. The electronic throttle poses many problems, particularly its connectors and contacts. As the mileage approaches 200,000 km, the timing chain may stretch and the rocker rollers may wear out. The original expansion tank often cracks along the seam, so it's better to buy an analog.
