Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the VAZ 21067 engine according to the catalog is 121 kg. The engine number of the VAZ 21067 can be found in two places. Like all classic VAZ engines, the camshaft in this engine wears out quickly. Overheating often occurs after the thermostat, pump, or fan fails. It is also worth noting that the auxiliary equipment and motor supports are not very durable. Around 100,000 km, the dual-row timing chain usually stretches and needs to be replaced. On high mileage, oil consumption often occurs due to ring and cap wear.
