Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the H23A engine according to the catalog is 160 kg. The engine number H23A is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. The only serious drawback of these power units is oil consumption. The oil not only evaporates, but also tends to leak from all gaskets and seals. The cooling system also suffers from leaks, with rubber tubes often bursting. Sensor failures occur periodically, causing the engine to run poorly. There are no hydraulic compensators, so valve clearances need to be adjusted every 40,000 km.
