Engine Overview and Common Failures

The engine number C27A is located at the junction of the block and the cylinder head. Engines of this family are quite reliable, but they consume a lot of fuel. Moreover, there are certain problems with the availability of service and spare parts. Most owners complain about frequent oil leaks from under the valve covers. The remaining engine failures are most often related to the archaic ignition system. After 200 - 250 thousand kilometers of mileage, the piston rings usually become stuck and excessive oil consumption begins.
