Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the F20A engine according to the catalog is 145 kg. The engine number F20A is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. The most well-known problem with these units is excessive oil consumption after 100,000 km. The second most common issue is frequent leaks of oil and coolant. The timing belt serves approximately 90,000 km, and if it breaks, the valves are often bent. The engine can often start to misfire due to distributor failure or one of the sensors. There are no hydraulic lifters, and the valve clearances need to be adjusted every 40,000 km.
