Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the K20A engine according to the catalog is 150 kg. The engine number K20A is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. The most well-known problem of this engine is the rapid wear of the exhaust camshaft. Another possible cause of noises under the hood could be improperly adjusted valves. Due to throttle valve contamination, idle speed often fluctuates. Additionally, the front crankshaft seal often leaks and the engine mounts do not last long. Engines from the first years of production suffered from localized overheating of the fourth cylinder.
