Engine Overview and Common Failures

The engine weight of the 4G32 according to the catalog is 130 kg. The engine number 4G32 is located at the junction of the block and the cylinder head. Most versions of the engine are equipped with a carburetor, which causes enough problems. The belts have a low lifespan here, both the timing belt and the balance shafts. This is due to the oil constantly leaking onto the belts from gaskets and seals. The power unit supports and the fuel pump in the tank also do not last long here. There are no hydraulic compensators, so the valves have to be adjusted every 50,000 km.
