Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the engine 3B21 is 67 kg (without attachments). The engine number 3B21 can be found on the cylinder block. The engine exists in two versions and the simple modification does not cause any trouble. In the MHD hybrid, the starter-generator belt gets misaligned and wears out quickly. If the belt breaks, it leads to the pump stopping and the cylinder head immediately overheating. The rubber rings on the spark plug wells harden by 100,000 km and oil gets into them. There are no hydraulic compensators, and every 100,000 km, valve clearances need to be adjusted.
