Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the 4G63T engine according to the catalog is 170 kg. The engine number 4G63t is located on the cylinder block. The use of cheap oil quickly affects the condition of the balance shafts. A worn shaft wedge leads to the belt breakage, which gets caught under the timing belt and causes engine failure. Vibrations of the balancers significantly reduce the lifespan of power unit cushions. Contamination of the idle control valve or throttle causes unstable RPM. Many owners face cracks in the intake and exhaust manifolds.
