Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the 25K4N engine according to the catalog is 179.5 kg. The engine number 25K4N is located at the junction of the block with the gearbox. This is an engine with wet sleeves, which can simply collapse in case of overheating. When the sleeves collapse, coolant enters the oil, resulting in expensive repair. The engine has a complex timing belt system consisting of three belts, and it is easy to damage the camshafts when replacing it. The throttle valves in the intake manifold often jam, causing a significant decrease in engine power. Weak points of the motor include the water pump, thermostat, and cooling system fan.
