Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the engine 14K2F is 102 kg (without attachments). The engine number 14K2F is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. Engines of the K family easily overheat and their gaskets regularly break. Sleeves often sag or crack, and the lubricant mixes with antifreeze. The remaining problems of the engine are usually related to oil leaks and electrical failures. The timing belt is changed every 100,000 km according to the regulations, and it bends in case of valve failure. The weak points of this unit are its short lifespan and expensive supports.
