Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the 14K4F engine is 104 kg (without attachments). The engine number 14K4F is located at the junction of the block with the gearbox. All engines in the K range are susceptible to overheating, which can cause gasket leaks and cylinder head damage. On high mileage, the sleeves often sag and the lubricant mixes with the antifreeze. The branded fuel injection system MEMS also regularly causes trouble. Don't forget to change the belt every 100,000 km or if it breaks, it can bend the valves. The weak points of the engine include its weak and relatively expensive supports.
