Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the L3A engine according to the catalog is 108 kg. The engine number L3A is located at the front, at the junction with the gearbox. This is a very reliable engine and there are very few complaints about it on the specialized forum. It is important to note that it has high requirements for the quality of the fuel used. The catalyst can be damaged by low-quality gasoline, and its particles can enter the cylinders. Like all direct injection engines, it suffers from carbon deposits on the intake valves. The remaining problems are related to electrical glitches, which can be fixed with a new firmware.
