Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the LFV engine according to the catalog is 115 kg. The LFV engine number is located at the front at the junction with the gearbox. This turbocharged engine is very demanding in terms of the quality of the fuel and oil used. Saving often ends with detonation and a broken piston partition. There have also been many cases of disconnecting the hose from the throttle body. On specialized forums, there are many complaints about the inadequate operation of the start-stop system. Like all engines with direct injection, the intake valves here become clogged with carbon deposits. Engines in this series can lose power in winter due to intercooler icing.
