Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the XU7JP engine according to the catalog is 115 kg. The engine number XU7JP is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. Electrical problems: This is a reliable unit with a high resource, but it can cause trouble with the electrical system. The temperature sensors for the coolant and throttle position are more prone to failure, as well as the fuel pump and idle control stepper motor. Throttle: Although the throttle valve here is a simple mechanical one, there are quite a few complaints about it. It gets dirty too quickly and requires cleaning, and it also regularly freezes in winter. The crankcase ventilation pipes often freeze as well, causing oil to leak through the dipstick. Other problems: This power unit is also plagued by air leaks, leaks from under the valve cover, requiring periodic valve clearance adjustment, and the valves being bent if the belt breaks. It is also easy to experience hydraulic shock, as the engine air intake is located too low.
