Peugeot Ep6cdtx engine

The 1.6-liter engine Peugeot EP6CDTX or THP 200 was produced in Douvrin from 2010 to 2015 and installed in sport versions of many popular models of the French company. There are two versions of this engine with designations 5FB and 5FU with slight differences. Prince series: EP3, EP3C, EP6, EP6C, EP6DT, EP6CDT, and EP6FDT.

This turbo unit is highly sensitive to the quality of fuel and oil used. Many problems are related to accelerated carbon buildup, especially on the valves. Almost always, excessive oil consumption follows engine coking. The timing chain often stretches already by a mileage of 80-100 thousand kilometers. The electromagnetic clutch in the pump drive can fail even at 50,000 km. The functioning of the phase regulation system depends on the condition of the oil channels. The cause of failure of the injection pump and other components of the fuel system is poor gasoline.
