Engine Overview and Common Failures

Carefully monitor the cooling system, this engine is very sensitive to overheating. Frequent overheating and cheap oil lead to the formation of scoring in the cylinders. Scored cylinders start to knock and there is immediately a high oil consumption. If you neglect the drop in oil pressure, the bearings will quickly rotate. The timing chain has a limited lifespan and the engine needs to be removed for replacement.
