Engine Overview and Common Failures

This engine is extremely demanding in terms of the quality of fuel and lubrication used. Poor gasoline and cheap oil quickly lead to cylinder scoring. Due to scoring, excessive oil consumption occurs, which may result in bearing failure. Frequent overheating of the power unit significantly accelerates the process of scoring. After 200,000 km, the timing chain often requires attention and the engine may need to be removed.
