Toyota 2TR-FE engine

The 2.7-liter Toyota engine 2TR-FE has been produced since 2004 in factories in Japan and Indonesia for large pickups and SUVs. Initially, this engine was equipped with the VVT-i valve timing control system on the intake valve, and in 2015, a newer Dual VVT-i system was introduced, which operates on both camshafts. Also belonging to the TR family is the 1TR-FE engine.
