Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the B308E engine according to the catalog is 195 kg. The engine number B308E is located at the junction of the engine block and the gearbox. It is a very reliable engine, and its main problems are related to lubricant leaks. Oil often seeps out from under the valve covers and floods the spark plug wells. Lubricant can also leak into the coolant through the heat exchanger. The turbine has a relatively low lifespan, sometimes lasting less than 100,000 km. Pay attention to the condition of the timing belt, as its lifespan is not long, and a failure can cause valve bending.
