Engine Overview and Common Failures

The engine number B207E is located on the oil filter housing. It is a very reliable engine, with the main issue being the low lifespan of the timing chains. Approximately at 200,000 km, it is necessary to replace the timing chain and balance shafts. The turbocharger performs quite well, but its bypass valve often fails. Another problem arises from the short lifespan of the crankcase ventilation valve. The weak points include the electronic throttle, fuel pump, control unit, and the PCV valve.
